TANGO • BUENOS AIRES

For the woman thinking about

Buenos Aires.

NO. I

You have been dancing a while.
Buenos Aires has been on your mind almost as long.
You read about it, save tabs, close them.
The trip keeps not happening.
Something is waiting for the right way in.
.
.

NO. II - THE RETREAT

Not a holiday.

Fourteen days.
Six to eight women per cohort.
Two cohorts a year, beginning 2027.

You come to breathe Buenos Aires and to dance. The milonga is the heart of this — the orchestras, the floors that have been there a hundred years, the late nights, the cabeceo across the room. That is the point. Enjoyment, not study. But tango is a technical dance. To enjoy it deeply, the body has to work. So classes and workshops sit alongside the milongas — not as the point, as what makes the point possible. You arrive on the floor at night with what you worked on that morning still in your body.I curate the experience around what each cohort needs — and what each woman, individually, needs. Each day moves between the two: moments we share, moments shaped only for you.For women who have been dancing for at least a year — and who are ready to come.Something happens to a woman who lives this for two weeks. The head quiets. The body returns. What she did not know she carried begins to flourish. Something visceral. Something real.

Investment is shared in the conversation.Be the first to hear when 2027 dates open.

NO. III - THE CONVERSATION

Before the retreat, we talk.

A conversation on Google Meet. You tell me where you are in your dancing, where you are in your life, what you are looking for.I tell you what the retreat would look like for you — and whether it is right.

250 usd. Credits to the retreat in full.

NO. IV - ABOUT

Marina.

I am Argentinian, born and raised in Buenos Aires. I went to Canada at seventeen — bringing Argentine tango to audiences there, and traveling internationally to teach and perform — but I never stopped coming home. Twenty years inside this music, this dance, this city.I speak Spanish, French, and English. Whichever you arrive in, we will meet. For fourteen days my work is one thing — that you have the deepest, most beautiful tango experience this city can give you.Everything I know, everyone I know, I bring to you. I take care of the details, so you can give yourself to what you came for.

I also run Tango Show Productions in Canada, bringing tango to corporate and public events.

NO. V - A FEW PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

Before you come.

Do I need a partner?

No. Most women come solo. The dances happen at the milongas, and you will dance — that part is taken care of.

What level should I be?

A year of social tango is enough. You should be comfortable in the embrace and on a floor. The conversation is where we look at your level together — and where we begin to shape what your two weeks will look like.

Is Buenos Aires safe?

For the way we move through the city, yes. Trusted drivers, neighborhoods I know, never alone at night. The longer answer is one we have in the conversation.

Do I need Spanish?

No. English is enough. You will pick up the words that matter — cabeceo, mirada, tanda, cortina — without trying.

Where do I stay?

You book your own accommodation. I'll point you toward Recoleta or Palermo — both central, both beautiful, both close to where we'll be. Airbnb makes this straightforward, and it gives you control over the kind of place you want.

What is included?

Milonga entries, classes and workshops with selected teachers, partners arranged for the milongas, transport in the city, my time and attention for fourteen days. Flights, accommodation, and food are separate. A full breakdown is in the conversation.

When are the 2027 dates?

Two cohorts, beginning 2027. Dates announced when locked. Sign up above to hear first.
